Bye bye 2017 ~Thanks for all the bliss ♥

The year is coming to an end and what an exciting year it has been. I have so many things to be grateful for in 2017 and this year ends on a truly happy note.

2017 is the year where I rebranded myself. The transition from being a personal blogger at Hvadbiertaenker.dk to focusing solely on yarn related crafts has been a long journey – choosing a new brand name is not easy I tell you and I have been through hundreds of combinations before I found my place at Knitableme.com. As my brand grows (slowly but steady) I get more and more attached to my new identity.

2017 has been a year of great collaborations with different yarn stockists. I am so blessed to have them support my work and I am so thankful for all the great advice and feedback I get through these collaborations. Thank you from the bottom of my knitters heart to:

  • Filcolana
  • Gepard Garn
  • G-uld.dk
  • Mohair by Canard
  • Sandnes Garn
  • Karen Klarbæk
  • Onion Garn
  • Hjertegarn
  • Lang Yarns

(Not all patterns have been released yet.)

2017 has also been the year where I have learned to accept that building a healthy and strong business takes dedication, hard work and a lot of time spend. I do not lack dedication or the wiilingnes to work hard, but with a full time job and a family to care for, the hours spend is not as many as I would like. So the business is growing slowly – the brand is growing steady and I’m learning along the way. I have come to accept that I’m building a solid foundation for Knitable Me to rise from and someday I will hopefully achieve my dream of becoming a full time knitwear designer.

2018 will be an exciting year for Knitable Me designs and I can’t wait to show you what I have been working on this fall. First up is the Noir Sweater in Lima by Hjertegarn and a cosy and beautiful cape in Malou Luxe by Lang Yarns.

My next project is to redesign the Peacock vest in Filcolanas Peruvian Highland wool and expand the collection with both adult and more kids patterns. I’m pushing myself way out of my comfort zone with bright happy colors – can’t wait!

I also want to thank all of you who are supporting my work. Without your support Knitable Me wouldn’t have grown so much over the past year and I feel so lucky to be able to share my work with you all.

A special thanks to all of my testknitters who are doing such a great job. I am so blessed to have the support of all of you and I wish I could repay you with with more than my love and appreciation. Thank you

These are some of my favorites this year:

From top to bottom: Reykjavik Poncho, Daisy Bluse, Agnes børnebluse

All patterns are available on Ravelry.
